End of unemployment benefits ...
What if, for you, it was a new beginning ?
A reform of the unemployment benefits system was adopted by the Federal Parliament in July 2025, introducing a number of major changes to entitlement to unemployment and integration benefits. From 2026 onwards, you or someone close to you may be directly affected by the end of entitlement.
Are you wondering whether you are affected and when this might happen?
All the details can be found in the letter from the ONEM that you have received or will receive. If in doubt, we invite you to visit the ACTIRIS or ONEM websites, which contain the texts on the reform and the dates on which benefits will cease, as well as informative video clips.
You are not alone!
The WerkCentrale and its partners are here to help you.
On the initiative of the CPAS (Public Social Welfare Center) of the City of Brussels and its partner associations, the Employment Center will help clarify your prospects by providing concrete solutions to your professional expectations or needs.
Until the end of 2025, two types of events will be organized to keep you well informed about the measure and help you find the solution best suited to your situation:
- Information sessions will be organized in various Brussels neighborhoods until the end of this year. Would you like to better understand the unemployment reform and get an overview of possible solutions? These events are for you!
- Would you like more personalized or in-depth advice tailored to your situation? Drop-in sessions will also be held until the end of 2025, every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Maison de l’emploi.
